The Troop series consists of eighteen images which were shot on location during the production of the video work, Johnny. In the portraits, the members of the high school marching band are seen separated and isolated from each other. All of the teenagers present themselves in a frontal position, hold their instruments at the ready and direct their gaze straight into the camera.
